DHS Sec To Oversee Deportation During Guatemala Trip

Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly will travel to Guatemala Wednesday and oversee the arrival of a DHS flight carrying illegal immigrants.

The DHS announced Kelly’s travels in a statement Monday.

Secretary Kelly will visit Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales while in the country. Following that trip, he will join Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in Mexico. The two will meet with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto and government ministers. The DHS said they will discuss law enforcement cooperation, trade, and border security among other topics.
