Democratic Rep. Joe Crowley insisted Friday that the Democratic Party does have a core message despite Republicans’ claims to the contrary.
MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough, who has repeatedly criticized the Democrats’ poor messaging strategy, asking Crowley on “Morning Joe” if he can “get a message out there that will re-energize your base and re-energize people outside of your base.”
“Well, Joe, I think we have a message,” the New York congressman asserted, “and, you know, the American people were sold a raw deal.”
“This president promised job creation, he promised growth, he promised action in Congress, and we haven’t seen any of that,” Crowley said, despite Trump posting strong job numbers and hitting 3 percent GDP growth. “What we’re talking about is better jobs, better pay, a better future, and ultimately a better deal for the American people.”
“We’re going to do things when we get back in and control the House of Representatives,” Crowley claimed of Democrats.
