LaVar Ball and LeBron James reportedly talk with each other regularly about the Cleveland Cavaliers star’s future in the NBA.
Terez Owens reported the following:
Now it appears that beef has been squashed, as our source tells us Lavar and LeBron buried the hatchet, and are actually becoming quite close. “Lavar and LeBron talk all the time, and they talk about joining forces. I think everyone knows what’s going on is, Lavar is recruiting LeBron to come to the Lakers. Lavar thinks that will be the quickest path for Lonzo to get a ring, and LeBron will eventually retire, at which point Lonzo would be the alpha dog.
This isn’t very surprising at all, if it’s indeed true. The two exchanged negative words in the past, but the NBA is all about business.
There has also been speculation for a while that LeBron will leave the Cavaliers at the end of the season, and head west to join Lonzo Ball and the Los Angeles Lakers.
The King managed to bring a championship to Cleveland, but the organization has hardly surrounded him with fellow superstars. Add in the fact Kyrie Irving bounced to Boston, and things don’t look great for his future with the team.
Lonzo and LeBron would make a fascinating duo on the court, and it would likely help produce a spike in league interest and television ratings.
