College basketball season is in full swing, and gambling money is being thrown around like candy.

As I’ve said before, I love sports gambling. I think one of the worst things about America is the fact it has not been legalized across this beautiful country. It’s one of the dumbest things about this place.

We’ve been doing a little better than average with the picks I give you guys ever week for college football. The picks are currently sitting at 29-24-1, which is more than serviceable with only two weeks remaining in the regular season.

But outside of the picks I’ve been giving our readers, I’ve been digging a deep hole. I won’t go into details about the money, because there’s probably a 25 percent chance my mom will read this. I’ll just say that it’s not good.

That all changed last night. I wiped out a third of my football debt on just two basketball games. Shoutout to Grayson Allen and Duke for beating Michigan State, and props to Kansas for getting the job done against Kentucky. My bank account is very grateful.

I was never worried about my football losses. They’re just part of the cruel gambling lifestyle that so many of us have willingly entered into. It just hasn’t been a good season. On the flip side, it looks like college basketball is going to be a gold mine.

Two games in, and I’m already making it rain (still technically in the hole), and we’re not slowing down. This is why I love college basketball. It never disappoints me, and now it’s making me a ton of money.*

What a wild turn of events.

*Still deep in the hole, but it’s nice to get a couple big wins.
