UPDATED: It is now Cyber Monday, and the Echo Dot is still heavily discounted for just $30. It is unclear how long this will last (perhaps til the end of Cyber Monday Deals Week but whatever you do, make sure you get an Echo Dot for just $30 while you can. The Echo Dot for this price is perhaps our strongest Cyber Monday recommendation).

It’s Black Friday, but it’s also 2017. That means you don’t have to brave the crowds in order to find the best deals for you and your family. One of the days very best offers is available right under your nose on the front page of Amazon. The Echo Dot, which is the smaller version of the Amazon Echo, is on sale for just $30.

Echo Dot (2nd Generation), Black on sale for $29.99

A lot of people choose to supplement their Echo with an Echo Dot. It is a great choice to put in a secondary room such as a bedroom. But if you want to take the jump into the home speaker game but don’t want to commit to an Echo (even though, at $80 today for Black Friday, they are available at a VERY reasonable price), the Echo Dot is a great first step. In fact, when my roommate moved out a couple of months ago and took his Amazon Echo with him, we replaced it with an Echo Dot. And we’ve found that it has more than satisfied our needs.
