Former White House deputy assistant Sebastian Gorka now serves as an independent contractor for The Heritage Foundation, according to a Tuesday report.

Gorka is working as a contractor with the Washington, D.C., based conservative think tank to give a series of five foreign policy speeches to Heritage Foundation audiences, a spokesperson told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“Dr. Gorka is an independent contractor. He is solely responsible for the content of his speeches and other statements, and his views are not necessarily those of Heritage or any of its personnel,” the spokesperson told TheDCNF. Gorka has an upcoming speech planned for December.

The Washington Examiner first reported Gorka’s move to The Heritage Foundation, noting that Gorka updated his LinkedIn profile Tuesday to include a recent job post of “consultant” at The Heritage Foundation. The job post says Gorka has been working as a consultant at Heritage Foundation since October.

Gorka previously served in President Donald Trump’s administration as a national security adviser, making a name for himself in staunch defense of Trump’s national security agenda on various news networks. Gorka left the White House in late August, saying he resigned from the administration. A White House official gave a different account, saying Gorka did not resign from the administration, but was no longer working for the president.
